1. Information We Collect
Account information: when you create an account, we collect your name and email address. We only allow @nyu.edu email addresses.
Usage data: we collect usage data including resources viewed, search queries, and page views so we can understand what is useful to students.
Favorites and pins: resources you favorite or pin are stored with your account so they sync across devices.
Location data: if you grant permission, we use your location solely to show nearby campus resources on the map. We do not store or sell your location.
NYU SSO session data: after you authenticate through NYU, Microsoft, or Duo pages, session cookies may be stored locally on your device so you do not have to sign in repeatedly. Entitled does not receive your NYU password.
AI assistant data: when you use Owl AI, your queries and uploaded assignment files are processed to generate recommendations and are not permanently stored by Entitled.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide and improve Entitled.
To personalize your experience with favorites, pins, and recommendations.
To understand aggregate product usage and reliability.
To respond to Owl AI requests.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run Entitled:
Supabase for database hosting and authentication.
PostHog for product analytics and reliability diagnostics.
Anthropic for Owl AI request processing.
NYU, Microsoft, and Duo pages when you complete NYU authentication.
